The Full Story

My first favorite record was Meet the Beatles and I played it on my 70's record player as a kid. I also remember making mix tapes from the radio and doing funny voice recordings. I was always making recordings of some sort growing up it was just my way of having fun. When I decided to go to recording school it wasn't a mainstream decision. I switched from college and I put myself through recording school by saving up my money and I worked as a disc jockey part-time. I dedicated myself to the eat, sleep, breathe music mentality. Through the nineties and 2000's I worked as a sound engineer in the live production field working on live shows, events and touring theatrical productions. I was also still making recordings and I would get friends who wanted me to transfer their records and tapes.

Learning how to make videos, DVD's and digital files is a part of my recording progression. I opened my video transfer location in Richfield a suburb of Minneapolis in 2010. I had customers before that but Video Movie Transfer was my first attempt to market my recording services to the public. I enjoyed my time in Richfield and have since moved to Bloomington. My customers appreciate my local service, convenient office location and my dedication to quality.

I am excited about the future of recording. Things like digital restoration, virtual reality, the advance of digital storage and artificial intelligence are all part of the digital revolution. However vintage analog recordings and archival have a special place and it is fun to help people revive these important pieces of their history.
